Booking Conditions

• To reserve a course, please send application form with chosen method of payment (Full amount or non-refundable Deposit of €200).

• All course and accommodation fees must be paid in advance and not later than the first day of the course. Students will not be admitted to class unless full payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your course at The Language House School of English, the following conditions apply:-

• Bookings may be cancelled up to 2 weeks before your course starting date minus €200 plus associated bank/credit card transactions charges.

• For cancellations received between 7 and 14 days before your course starting date, you will be refunded 70% of the fees

• For cancellations received between 1 and 7 days before your course starting date, you will be refunded 50% of the fees

• There is no refund for any cancellation after the course has started.

Refunds

There are no refunds, discounts or lessons replaced for Public Holidays, late arrival, early departure or days missed during the course.

Visa Appeals

In the event that your visa to Ireland is refused, you must appeal. If you fail again to acquire a visa, fees will be refunded minus the non-refundable Deposit of €200 and associated bank/credit card transactions charges.

Insurance

Please arrange your own insurance to cover medical treatment and loss of personal possessions. The Language House does not take any responsibility for loss or theft of belongings.

Course change

Students can upgrade a course by paying an additional fee, but there are no refunds for changing from Intensive courses to G20/S20 without notification in writing 4 weeks in advance.

Attendance

Students must attend lessons punctually. We may require a medical certificate for an absence of one week or more. Consistent absence for three weeks or more without explanation may result in forfeiture of a student's place at our School, without refund.

Accommodation

Host Family accommodation is usually located in the suburbs of Dublin. Students should expect to travel for an average of 40 minutes to the School.

School Calendar

Please note that the School will be closed on the following Public Holidays: 01-03/01/10; 17/03/10; 02/04/10; 05/04/10; 03/05/10; 07/06/10; 02/08/10;
25/10/10; 18/12/10-03/01/11

Students starting during such weeks will begin their course on the Tuesday following the Holiday Monday.

School Rules

The Language House reserves the right to suspend or expel any student for serious misconduct, especially any involving the police, with no refund whatsoever. We make every attempt to adhere to arrangements outlined in the course brochure, but we reserve the right to alter, cancel, defer or transfer a student to another course. Course and accommodation fees are correct at the time of publication and may change without notice.
